Katie Holmes recently opened up to a group of women at the Hoka One One “Women Who Fly” panel discussion about self-care and wellness practices. She emphasized exercise as a form of self-care that shouldn’t feel like a chore. It should make you feel good.
“I used to put a lot of pressure [on myself], like ‘Did I work out five times this week?’ and then I was like, ‘I’m going to put this in the category of self-care’ and actually enjoy it, and look at it like that because I don’t have to put the pressure. I do yoga or boxing or cycling, sometimes I run.”
We love this mindset and believe that there is a way for everyone to get their endorphins pumping without feeling the pressure of how many
calories you’re burning.
We’ve gathered up some forms of exercise to help liften your mood and make you feel good.
